OUR SEAMS AREN’T STRAIGHT

The World Wide Web is filled with blogs teaching you how to be a better wife, a better friend, a better sibling, a better PERSON. But there’s a conversation that’s not being had. A real, gut wrenching, laugh until you cry because life is overwhelming kind of conversation. And we think it’s time we take off the masks and get really real about life and how sometimes it’s just a big ole’ pile of bs. It’s going to be sarcastic, sometimes sad, sometimes hilarious, but always real. There are women and men that we have met in the past few years that have been through things we can’t even imagine. We have stood in a circle and laughed with hurting people who have lived through the awkward funerals, the uncomfortable questions, and the lingering pity stares when they walk through the doors of a room. It’s no ones fault really. Death makes us uncomfortable, tragedy makes us sad, and seeing another person hurting makes us anxious because we don’t know what we can do, and in reality we know that we can’t fix it even if we try. We are ready to break down the walls and bare our souls to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly of life and loss. So here’s a look into the lives of those who hurt. Our seams aren’t straight, but we’re holding it together somehow.
